Date Night

I asked my fiance out on a date tonight. We haven't been on one since we got engaged three weeks ago. Since I asked, I get to pick what we do. He hate surprises. But this one I think he will like. So here are a few hints babe if you REALLY just can't wait one more hour… [...]

Matron of Honor

I feel so blessed to have this girl in my life! I am really looking forward to having her be a part of my wedding and more importantly being my Matron of Honor! That sounds so much fancier than Maid of Honor! Leah has already been married for almost four years now. I am already awaiting the [...]

I’m loving it

Last night I hung out with the girls after work and went to dinner. On my way home, I called My Fiance to see what he was up to.   Me: “Hey babe, where are you?” Flyn: “Oh…I am just driving, got some dinner.” Me: “Oh nice, what did you get?” Flyn: “Oh don’t worry about it….. [...]

Whidbey Island

I had a wonderful time out at Whidbey Island this past weekend. Our hosts were SO accomodating. We arrived on Friday night, the group was pretty tired from the long week and trek over, so we [...]

Fridays & Blueberries

Thank you for Fridays! My fiance and I got invited to spend the weekend at our friend's cabin on Whidbey Island! My plan is to get some good sleep, go fishing, eat and just relax. That is if I can manage to not wake up at 4am stressing over which bridesmaid dress to choose or what color flowers I am going to have! Believe me it [...]

This one is on me

Consider this your steal of the week and one of my favorite cheap date spots to go in Seattle.     I ran across The Crest back in college when money was scarce and we were always looking for something fun to do on a Friday night.   It only cost $3.00!!!!   Yup, you heard me [...]

Doctor’s Orders: Grande Iced Soy Lattes and Plenty of Sleep

Its been an exhausting last week and a half. Wedding planning tires me out like none other. After a full day of work and THEN coming home to plan, my eyes are literally closing once 7 o'clock rolls around. But don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the planning of our big day and I love the extra time that I get to spend w/my fiancé because of [...]

Pumpkin Honey-Beer Quick Bread

I know this is a little early for Fall but this recipie is abslutely delicisous and I had to share it. Don't let the beer scare you. It helps make the bread really moist. I would also recommend putting chocolate chips in one of the loaves. Or both. Pumpkin Honey-Beer Quick Bread
